Jeff Woods of Long Plain First Nation – Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Growing up with a passion for music; My mother was a big country fan while my dad listened to rock and rap. I managed to be fans of all 3 while listening to other various genres of music through out my childhood. As I progressed through high school I became very hip hop oriented, which included producing beats and writing lyrics. Going through adulthood I found even though I’m still a big fan of hip hop, I’ve gradually moved on to country. Being a family man of 3 daughters it’s important to listen to music with a message. I’m very excited to be a part of the IMC team and look forward to hearing all the great indigenous music!
